Origins - Mickler Construction
Jacob White Construction was founded in 1992 by Jeff Mickler, a native Texan with a passion for carpentry and design. That passion fueled a commitment to service and a legacy of excellence that remains in JWC today.

500 projects completed with Texas Children's Hospital
In 2003, we reached a significant milestone by completing 500 projects with Texas Children's Hospital, a journey that began with an initial cold call to Mark Kennedy.

Nasa Project
We had the privilege of completing our first project with NASA, a partnership that began with a shared vision and has since evolved into a long-standing collaboration.

First Green Roof
Jeff Mickler, President of Jacob White Construction, led the completion of the award-winning Gold LEED-certified medical office building at 251 Medical Center Boulevard. This facility has garnered numerous accolades, including the Houston Business Journal's Green Project Landmark Award in 2008 and the Texas Rain Catcher Award in 2007 for its innovative rainwater harvesting systems. Notably, 251 Medical Center Boulevard also boasts the largest green roof in Texas.

Jacob White: A New Era
A new 10,000-square-foot headquarters was built in Friendswood, earning LEED Platinum certification, placing it among a select few buildings in Texas. The building's green roof has been the subject of several experiments by Texas A&M University, underscoring its role as a model of sustainability.

A leader in forward-thinking solutions, JWC integrated LuminOre Copper Touch Antimicrobial Surfacing into projects, providing an added layer of protection for building occupants by reducing the spread of illness through high-touch surfaces.

To better serve central Texas, Jacob White Construction opened a branch in San Antonio, focusing on higher education and medical projects to meet the growing demand in the region.

After years of successfully delivering design-build projects, JWC brought Bexhill Architecture in-house to further enhance our integrated approach and streamline project execution.

Jacob White Construction underwent a significant rebranding and ownership change, with Sean Mickler stepping into the role of CEO, marking a transition in leadership from founder Jeff Mickler. This new chapter not only strengthens the company’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation but also brings a refreshed identity, while continuing the legacy of building lasting relationships with clients across Texas.

Sean Mickler

As CEO of Jacob White Construction, Sean has dedicated nearly two decades of his career to refining his expertise in multiple facets of the construction industry alongside clients from all market sectors. A proud alumnus of Purdue University, Sean’s passion resides in the continued organizational leadership and strategic planning of Jacob White. Since the inception of his career, Sean has played a front role in some of Jacob White’s most complex projects including numerous mid-rise medical office buildings, surgical centers, marinas, and corporate aviation terminals throughout the United States. Sean is driven by the goal of ensuring that the organization’s team of construction professionals consistently deliver projects that exceed all client expectations.

Sean holds a FAA Airline Transport Pilot rating with pilot in command privileges on multiple Cessna, Beechcraft, and Embraer business aircraft. Sean also holds a Certified Flight Instructor rating and enjoys working with aspiring pilots to develop a pathway for their goals. Sean and his wife reside in Friendswood, Texas with their three children.
